Herðubreið mountain, often referred to as "The Queen of Mountains", seen from the air. Herðubreið is of the volcano type "Tuya" which normally have steep sides, flat tops and are formed when lava erupts through a thick glacier or an ice sheet. Herðubreið is 1682 meters high.
