Calibration Flights

Calibration service / flight inspections are conducted by a specifically equipped aircraft to test navigational aids used by air traffic.
Items that are flight tested include for example;
ILS, VOR, NDB and GPS approaches (including signal strength and accuracy), PAPI lights and enroute navigational aids.
These flights are operated in conjunction with Isavia.
Today Myflug Air and Isavia are responsible for the calibration service in Iceland, Greenland and the Faroe Islands.
